Hello! I’m Italian, sorry for my bad English.
Your site is really nice especially the page “from scales chords”! Now I will try combinations of scales and chords and I will tell you the results
Thank you!

This page is deserving of some kind of award. Seriously. The only option that is missing is showing all the modes (scales) within a scale. You know. If it had that the admin would deserve a Nobel Prize. Hahaha
Much appreciated. The work here has been acknowledged.

Something like all the subsets and supersets based on the same/other root?
Should be easy.

Yeah. Like say the scale is C Ionian. Then the seven scales within that or modes would be dorian, phrygian, etc. You know. Not sure if that is with all scales but I’m guessing it is. I know you show all possible chords that could be played for that note in the scale but would also be nice if it showed exactly what type of chord it is in that step of the scale. For example the major scale for chords goes, Maj, min, min, Maj, Maj, min, dim. You know what I mean? I’m sure it can get confusing with all these xotic scales. Not quite the same as the basic Western theories. It can all be figured out on one’s own though. That’s true. Keep up the exceptional work.

Also should dive more into theory on this site. Maybe even go into explaining it and not just posting it. I would donate money to you if I wasn’t broke. Hahaha. You know what I mean with theory. Whole Steps Half-steps in the chromatic scale. How the scales are constructed. Like Major W W H W W W H. Which then is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 . Then you know to make that into a dorian you would it would be 1 2 3b 4 5 6 7b. I’m sure you know what I mean.
But yeah that is just focusing on the 7 modes of modern western music. But every scale has it’s own scales and how the other scales are constructed from the main scale would be nice to see in the theory as well as the names of those scales. It could go on and on. Just some tips for making this like the ultimate source for not only guitar knowledge but musical knowledge in general. Wish I could donate for your efforts.

Oh yeah and then it gets confusing with like the Blues scales. Almost forgot. Seems some scales you just can’t play every note as a chord. That’s when it gets tricky.

Oh yeah. You should put the scales in alphabetical order as well. Would make finding them faster and easier.

1. Alphabetical order of scales might slow things down. I can have categories by genre to speed up things.
2. The format of 1 2 3b 4 5 6 7b is preferred as the W W H W W W H format can not work on many oriental scales.

I think the whole and half note can work on all scales. It just wouldn’t be the same as the major scale of course. I don’t see why it couldn’t but I might be ignorant to that. All scales have the same steps from different roots. All the other scales would then be formed around that main scale. Like the Kiourdi you have posted here. I was digging into that. Made some progressions. That would be from the chromatic scale this, W H W H H H H H W. 9 steps.

Also wondering why you don’t have all possible chords in the selection involving the “find scales to chords” selection. An example would be like the sus2 chord is missing.

Nice site revision.
Bet you could do even more.

I’m not so sure your site is right. :/ http://www.guitaristhelp.com/index.php/scale-details?scale=2741&root=2 That as an example and then this http://all-guitar-chords.com/scales-to-chords.php Click on D and then Lydian. I can do that with all of your scales and all of those scales and they are completely different. Why is that?

Here is another example. http://www.guitaristhelp.com/index.php/scale-details?scale=1451&root=2 No sorry Dorian is not Phrygian and Phrygian is not Dorian. You have Dorian as Phrygian on that one. Makes absolutely zero sense. Oh yeah and Lydian is not Ionian which you have on the Lydian example. It’s only going to confuse people that use this site and mislead them. Which in turn will only damper their progress and cause discouragment. I would fix these issues or maybe prove that I’m wrong. :/

For each scale I had many alternative names. I picked the first one in the list as a primary name.
You are right though, on modes I should be more strict on the primary name.
